Connemara Woods is a planned and diverse community of 55 homes built in 1986 and 1987. The developer incorporated four basic designs with 3 to 5 bedrooms. We are located off Potomac View Road (Route 637), near the intersection of Route 7 and Potomac View Road in Loudoun County, Virginia.
Connemara Woods is a quiet community with no through traffic. Two of the three roads end in cul de sacs and the third is a dead end. Residents appreciate the fact Connemara Drive provides the only access and egress from the community except for a gated emergency access road that prevents vehicle traffic but provides a pedestrian gate for residents. Homeowners are provided with gate keys. Many homes back up to forested land. Yet we are within walking distance of the Potomac Run Shopping Center, NOVA Community College, Old Dominion University, Loudoun Medical Group Immediate Care Center, and less than a quarter mile from Route 7.
Connemara Woods is a close-knit and friendly place to live. Many neighbors organize various get-togethers, including an annual fall cookout, a monthly book club, walking partners, Ladies’ Night Out, and children’s Halloween parade and party. Connemara Woods is a place where we know our neighbors and work together to maintain a beautiful, safe, and friendly community.
Connemara Woods is incorporated under provisions of the Virginia Nonstock Corporation Act under the title Connemara Woods Homeowners Association (CWHA). A Board of Directors is elected annually to operate the corporation. Because we are a small community, Connemara Woods does not have a swimming pool, recreation center, or large common areas. Consequently our annual dues are relatively low ~ $149 for 2010. However, we are located within walking distance of a community playground and a short distance from the Claude Moore Recreation Center, Algonkian Regional Park, and Cascades Regional Library.
The Verizon FIOS network was installed in the fall of 2007 and the neighborhood is served by cable and satellite TV as well. Payments and choice of service are the responsibility of individual homeowners.
